Friction Farm and Danielle Miraglia
Saturday September 13, 7PM

Friction Farm
Modern folk duo Friction Farm is guitarist/vocalist Aidan Quinn and bassist/vocalist Christine Stay. Blending country, folk and pop into a seamless package, they bring a rare freshness and spontaneity to the stage. Their new CD "I Read Your Book" features songs each inspired by a different book. Friction Farm's previous recording earned them a spot as Kerrville New Folk Finalists and Falcon Ridge Emerging Artists in 2011. Miami New Times describes them as "melodious and infectious folk nuggets that couple pretty harmonies with a contemplative simplicity."

“Aidan and Christine command any stage they’re on. Their appreciable force is gently delivered with keen lyrics and beautiful melodies, with a hint of humor to mitigate the seriousness of some of their material.” - David Engels, Emerald Concerts

Dnielle Miraglia

Danielle Miraglia Danielle Miraglia (murr-Ä L e a) comes armed with a strong steady thumb on an old Gibson, an infectious stomp-box rhythm and harmonica. Her tunes range from heart-felt to socially conscious and will move both your heart and hips. Danielle's latest release “Box of Troubles” a bare-bones expression of all these attributes, explores the highs and lows that life has to offer and has already received rave reviews. Alternate Root says “Danielle Miraglia’s guitar work keeps Delta traditions alive. Her steady thumb and playing style trace a direct line to the blues of the field and chicken shacks. Vocally, Danielle’s voice digs in, twisting within the delivery, seeming to break but more likely soaring before the fall. ‘Box of Troubles’ balances good times with the bad, her characters roles’ defined and believable.”

"Danielle Miraglia is a treasure! She captivated her audience from the first few notes she played until the end of her second encore. She is charming, talented, a total professional, and completely down to earth. I can't wait to bring her back next year! She is always welcome on our stage." - Barron Chandler, Director, Narberth Summer Concert Series
