Saturday, September 14, 2013, 7:00 PM: Arlan Feiles with Les Lucky

Arlan Feiles
In the tradition of many great troubadours before him, Los Angeles native Arlan Feiles has made his way across the American landscape and found himself a new home in New Jersey. All Along the way, Arlan has shared stages with some of the great legends of Music. The Band, The late Warren Zevon, Hot Tuna, Joan Baez, Richie Havens, Warren Haynes, Dave Mathews, Bob Pollard, and many more.

During a long stop In Miami Florida, Arlan found a great deal of success with roots rock band Natural Causes. The Causes' run ended too soon, but Chris Blackwell of Island Records would take Arlan going solo, and signed him to his first record deal. Since moving to NJ, Arlan has recorded two more solo albums with the help of legendary Miami Producer Frank "Rat Bastard" Falestra. In 2012 Arlan released "Weeds Kill The Wild Flowers". His first full band album in a decade. Joined by his group The Broken Hearted, Arlan has put together another great collection of songs that take the listener through an Americana voyage of truth and discovery.

"Arlan is a gifted songwriter... with pulsating and passionate performances"
- Sandra Schulman, Billboard Magazine

Les Lucky
Les Lucky is an American Roots singer/songwriter and multi-instrumentalist with an eclectic streak as well as jam-band tendencies in live performance. Heavily influenced by Rock, Blues and Pop, his songs are also flavored with Folk, Country, R&B and Jazz. He has been succinctly described as "an engaging performer who writes powerful songs, sings with a broad range of emotion, and fluidly jams on both guitar and keyboards."

His world-worn observations provide insightful, and often personal, glimpses into life's struggles as well as its celebrations. He distills the lessons learned from life's trials and tribulations into songs about modern-day relationships, love lost and life's wonder as well as stories of hard luck, questionable choices and human frailties.

Les' vocal style ranges from breathy to hard-edged and beyond, while his instrumental prowess is evident in his flights of fancy on both guitar and piano. His transition from one instrument to another is as natural as it is entertaining. In live shows, Les often takes liberties with his recorded material. At times, he'll even include additional sections not found in the original recordings. As a veteran of thousands of shows, he is at his best when mixing things up and engaging an audience.
