Formerly a member of the Scotch Plains-Fanwood High School Moonglowers, bassist/composer Evan Salvacion Levine returned to his home area with a quartet to perform his own compositions at our October concert. The show featured music from his brand-new album, "Mestizo." Now based in Chicago, Evan is part of trumpeter Emily Kuhn's ensemble, Helios, and another ensemble called Echoes, as well as his own group.
